About the founder...
Kelly Sloan-Murphy
I received my 650 hour diploma in massage therapy from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in 2001 and became board certified shortly after.
In 2003, I followed on with yoga teacher's training and began teaching yoga at the YMCA and as an independent contractor around the Kalamazoo, MI. I recall teaching my very first "beginner class" at my own level of fitness. By the second class, I'd lost half of the beginners.

I taught yoga in the military, but became disabled during military service and discovered my previous abilities had all but vanished.
I moved to the UK and attended university, receiving my DipLaw, LLB, and an LLM in Corporate Governance, as well as a mediation certificate. I had every intention of becoming a solicitor, but my disabilities impeded my efforts at every turn.
I turned back to yoga and ultimately found Julie Montague's "Whole Self Yoga" classes and wellness retreats.
I recertified in 2022 with the specific intent to widen accessibility to the disabled community. Specifically, I'm working on integrating assistance dogs into the practice and am working on starting a Community Interest Company (non profit in the UK) to deliver free training and classes to our disabled community.

I believe my personal journey with chronic pain and brain trauma are a gift which enable me to deliver a more accessible class to the community that I simply wasn't capable of in my twenties.
I'm keen to offer assistance dog training classes that will allow a yoga practitioner much needed mobility support, along with fun experience for both human and dog.
